Yakiboy reveals his workout and diet tips to his ‘Lamborghini body’

The heavily-tattooed gym junkie known as ‘Yakiboy’ has revealed the diet that fuels his hulking 107kg frame – and the classic workout routine behind his chiselled body.

Hossein Balapour, 28, makes a living posting pictures of his muscular body on Instagram while he models clothes in his home city of Sydney.

Now the cult social media figure has explained how he crafted the physique he humbly describes as ‘the Lamborghini’.

Mr Balapour’s day starts with a fresh almond milk banana smoothie – with six egg whites blended in.

How many egg cartons do I need to buy this week? Instagram star Yakiboy opened up his fridge for Daily Mail Australia and revealed the $400-per-week grocery run that fuels his body

The contents of Yakiboy's fridge includes a hulking container of kimchi, three cartons of eggs (or six breakfast smoothies), leftovers and lots of greens

HUNGRY? YAKIBOY’S EXTRAORDINARY TRAINING DAY DIET

BREAKFAST: Egg smoothie – six egg whites, protein, bananas and almond milk blended together

(He said a typical person would not need that many egg whites.)

BRUNCH: Omelette, with spinach and mushroom, or a protein pancake

LUNCH: Chicken breast (‘my favourite’) with pumpkin, avocado and spinach salad

SNACK: Zucchini treat – blended together with Greek yoghurt

GYM MEAL: Protein fruit smoothie consumed while he works out

POST-GYM MEAL/DINNER: Chicken, fish or beef, typically, with a side salad of asparagus, avocado, tomato, lemon

BEFORE SLEEP: Another protein smoothie with yoghurt, with a dessert twist, like added Nutella

Alternative: ‘green juice’ with carrot, apple, celery, ginger

‘I need six because I’m six foot five,’ Mr Balapour said.

‘I’m a big boy – normal people only need four.’

To power a body that can shoulder press a 160kg barbell, the Iranian refugee whips up five or six meals a day.

Most meals are loaded with protein – ‘I love chicken!’ – plus plenty of greens, such as fresh fruit and vegetables.

Breakfast is typically followed by brunch, lunch, a pre-gym snack or gym smoothie, dinner.

A nightcap might come in the former of a healthy green juice – with celery, carrot, ginger and apple – or a protein shake with a dollop of Nutella.

The weekly grocery trip costs about $400, but it’s safe to say he gets good value from his gym membership.

‘I like to train by myself, tough and quick,’ he said, adding he usually powers through a gym session in about an hour.

Mr Balapour pops down the road to lift weights six times a week and divvies his routine up into muscle groups.

For instance, Monday is set aside for chest and triceps, Tuesday for his biceps and his front shoulder. The seventh day is for rest, or a bike cardio session.

This robbery-themed picture was captioned: 'You're sleeping at night, you wake up and find me in your house, my balaclava hiding my face and my undies hiding my anaconda. What you going to do in this situation?'

Mr Balapour has become well known for his outrageous posts (left and right). The caption for the picture on right referred to an ‘anaconda’

‘Cardio is very important for training. If you want a good body, cardio helps so much,’ he said.

‘Bike is the best and running is the best too.’

He does have one word of advice for aspiring bodybuilders – don’t lift heavy before perfecting your technique .

‘This is very important: a lot of boys try to train heavy but the best thing is .. first you have to learn the technique.

‘When I’m usually training heavy I use my technique to get the focus on my actual muscles.

‘I see a lot of boys training heavy but not right.’

Hitting the gym is not altogether that different when you are a 107kg behemoth with biceps the size of basketballs.

It requires daily commitment, though. Yakiboy trains six days a week and rests or does cardio Sunday.

Like most traditional bodybuilders, he works out by muscle group. A typical week looks like

MONDAY: Chest and tricep workout

TUESDAY: Front shoulder and biceps

WEDNESDAY: Legs

THURSDAY: Back shoulder and back muscles

FRIDAY: Legs again

SATURDAY: Spare day

SUNDAY: Rest with sleep and massage; or cardio in the form of jogging and cycling work

This past week, Mr Balapour revealed his extraordinary life story before he soared to Instagram fame.

He came to Australia about five years ago on a rickety boat – ending up in Christmas Island detention centre before being granted a visa.

In the years since, he has become something of a social media star – with his following ballooning from 30,000 people to 75,000 this year.

That’s thanks to a series of provocative posts – including nude pictures where his private parts are covered with a single pizza emoji.

One controversial photo, where he was pictured wearing a balaclava, was captioned: ‘You’re sleeping at night, you wake up and find me in your house, my balaclava hiding my face and my undies hiding my anaconda. What you going to do in this situation?’

Mr Balapour models for brands – making about $1500 per photoshoot – and helps promote products online, alongside personal training.

‘I’m six foot five, why shouldn’t I make money from my body?’ he said.

He has refuted claims on social media that he must be a bikie or a drug dealer because of his intimidating appearance and lavish jewelry.

He slammed ‘jealous’ men who criticise his tattoos as ‘haram’, or forbidden by the Islamic faith, saying his full-body ink is ‘like my skin’.

And despite being deluged with flirty posts from ‘hot girls in America’, Yakiboy revealed he is a married man whose wife will soon give birth to a baby girl.

He clicked his fingers as he said in Persian-accented English: ‘Before I was married, I used to get the girls like that.

But even the buff bodybuilder gets self-conscious.

Before heading off to the gym, he admitted that while he may look big, before working out ‘in my head, I feel skinny’.
