A woman has been killed and another man is fighting for his life in hospital after a shooting in Melbourne’s western suburbs.
Emergency services were called to Salisbury Street in Yarraville shortly before 10.30am on Tuesday following reports of shots being fired.
The woman died at the scene. Her age is yet to be disclosed.
One man was rushed to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
A second man is under police guard in hospital with ‘what also appears to be gunshot wounds’.

It’s understood one man is aged in his 20s while the other in his 50s.
Homicide Squad detectives are at the scene.
‘The exact circumstances regarding the shooting are yet to be determined,’ a police statement read.
Multiple streets surrounding the vicinity have been blocked off.
Residents told Seven News they heard two loud bangs.
