Cowboys in Canada put on a show as they held on to their bulls and horses for dear life in an adrenaline-fueled rodeo.
Dramatic pictures show seasoned traditional cowboys clinging on to the beasts as they kicked up dust at a competition in Ontario, eastern Canada.
More than 200 of North America’s best performers took to the ring while they attempted to remain on the saddle of bulls and horses.
Photographer Li Jian who snapped the pics, born in china and now residing in Canada, said: ‘This is the first time in 20 years I have photographed a sport such as this and it was such a thrill. These rodeo competitions are such high energy and it’s amazing to see how long the riders last on the bulls.’
Most of the performers wore protective head and body gear, while some others stuck to wearing cowboy boots, a hat, and mouth guard. Spectators watched on in awe as the cowboys attempted to stay on the animals as long as possible.
