Yodel delivery driver steals Christmas parcel from house

  • Michelle caught the CCTV footage when she was having a package delivered
  •  The delivery driver spots a package on the doorstep and stuffs it under his coat
  •  She recovered the parcel taken from her home in Chelmsford but it was ruined
  • The parcel was a pair of boxer shorts, a Christmas present for her husband

This is the shocking moment a Yodel delivery driver allegedly steals a package from his customers address in broad daylight.

As he arrives to the house in Chelmsford, Essex,  he picks up parcel sitting on the floor and stuffs it up his coat, concealing it from view.

The brazen worker even has the audacity to continue to deliver his parcel before making off and leaving the homeowner none the wiser.

If it hadn’t of been for her home video system, Michelle from Chelmsford, who declined to give her surname,  would have never seen the parcel again.

She was shocked when she watched the footage back showing the package, which contained some designer boxer shorts for her husband for Christmas, being pinched by the unscrupulous delivery driver.

Michelle contacted the police about the theft and they recovered the underwear, but by that time it was in an unsuitable condition for wearing.

A Yodel spokesperson said: ‘We can confirm that one of our drivers was reported to have stolen a small packet from a customer, whilst delivering a separate parcel to the same address. We immediately launched an investigation and were able to recover the item and return it to her in its original sealed packaging.

‘This behaviour clearly does not meet the high standards we expect from our colleagues and we would like to take this opportunity to apologise and reassure Michelle that appropriate action has been taken with the individual concerned.’

The delivery driver spots the unguarded parcel and after deciding he likes the look of it he stuffs it under his jacket, before continuing to deliver the parcel in his arms

Michelle, who was at home when the package was stolen from her Chelmsford home reported the incident to the police and eventually got the parcel back
