You’ll never believe what’s behind this bland and boring office door

Diners are going wild for an incredible secret speakeasy bar hidden behind the ‘office door’ of a made-up character called Joseph S. Badger.

The Copacabana Club, in Woolloongabba in Brisbane, is situated behind the office of ‘Joseph Badger’ in an old car park next to Brisbane’s Gabba stadium.

The club can be found inside Mr Badgers – a pre-existing deli and bar.

Copacabana’s new fairy lit space has been inspired by a European beer garden meets New York rooftop. 

The bar draws inspiration from the famous New York night club where films including Goodfellas, Raging Bull and One Night in Miami were filmed. 

Singers such as Frank Sinatra, The Supremes, Marvin Gaye and Sam Cooke all played there, and this is why there is a painting of Sinatra on one of the walls.

The bar and beer garden itself is stylish and on-trend, with fairy lights above the tables and a cocktail list to rival the very best.

Highlights include the Maggie Soda (campari, red vermouth, spiced orange syrup, mango sorbet and Prosecco), and Dream a Little Dream (citroen vodka, limoncello, Licor 43, marscapone, cream and Biscoff).

There is also a food menu comprising New York-style tasty pizzas and sandwiches, as well as food pop-up trucks which arrive and leave at the weekends.

The Copacabana Club has been designed to cater for all sorts of clientele, from casual diners to those looking for a pre-game snack and drink to those wanting to dance – as there is late night music on Friday and Saturday nights.
