Sara-Marie Fedele rose to fame as a fresh-faced 21-year-old on the inaugural season of Big Brother Australia back in 2001.

And on Monday, the former reality star made a rare TV appearance on Channel Seven’s Sunrise with her former co-star Blair McDonough.

Sara-Marie looked very different to how fans may remember her as she revealed why she used to wear her iconic bunny ears and do her famous ‘bum dance.

‘I used to wear the bunny ears so I didn’t have to do my hair and I used to do the bum dance to send a signal to my sisters to let them know I was happy,’ she explained.

‘And I wore my pyjamas because we weren’t going anywhere so I didn’t bother to be dressed. They were very simple things that [made me famous].’
