Olivia Dunne received a gutsy message from a young LSU fan during her College GameDay appearance with boyfriend Paul Skenes.
The social media sensation and the Pittsburgh Pirates pitcher, both Tigers alum, were given the honor of appearing as the guest pickers on the ESPN program Pat McAfee and Co. visited Baton Rouge ahead of Saturday’s rivalry showdown between LSU and Alabama.
During the broadcast, a young fan in LSU gear held a sign for the gymnastics star in a bold effort to get Dunne’s attention.
‘I’m shooting my shot! Livvy can I have a kiss,’ the sign read. ‘Sorry Mr. Skenes.’
The College GameDay crew commended the kid, calling him ‘smart’ for the attempt. ‘It’s worth the shot, my man,’ one of the panelists said.

Dunne returned to LSU this year for a fifth and final season with the Tigers.
Her final campaign follows their NCAA title-winning efforts at the end of her senior year. The 2023-24 team brought the university’s first national title in gymnastics to Baton Rouge after a dominant regular season.
The Tigers secured their first NCAA title by scoring 198.225 to beat California (197.850), Utah (197.800) and Florida (197.4375) at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth.
After the season, Dunne teased the idea of returning to LSU – practicing her fifth year of eligibility due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
On July 8, Dunne declared her return with a video announcement on her social media pages.
This would not be the first time signs became the medium for somebody to send a message. In October, the Oregon Duck mascot held a sign for actress Sydney Sweeney.
‘Sydney Sweeney call me back,’ the sign read. The Euphoria star then responded on her Instagram story.
‘Sorry. Changed my number haha,’ Sweeney wrote.
