Our day begins at 11.30am with a glass of prosecco and a chance to browse through the writers’ books. We start our author sessions with bestselling novelist Jeffrey Archer, whose latest book This Was a Man completes his Clifton Chronicles family saga, and broadcaster Jeremy Vine, whose book What I’ve Learnt: What My Listeners Say and Why We Should Take Notice has just been published.

Then we discuss historical fiction with three brilliant novelists and masters of the genre: Alan Hollinghurst (The Sparsholt Affair explores themes of love, art and class in the 20th century), Rose Tremain (The Gustav Sonata is set in wartime Switzerland) and Alison Weir (Anne Boleyn: A King’s Obsession is the second of her Six Tudor Queens series).
