A YouTube star sneaked into Slendour in the Grass music festival by pretending to be a rubbish cleaner.

Shammi Prassad, from the Gold Coast, performed the stunt with fellow star Michael Fallon.

Their video shows Fallon wearing a high-vis jacket picking up rubbish and putting it in a plastic bag outside the festival entrance at Byron Parklands.

Fallon then finds a wheelie bin and Shammi jumps inside.

He then pulls the bin through the ticketed entrance and says to a security guard ‘I can’t believe how many people leave rubbish around’ as he walks through unchecked.

Once they are through the entrance, Shammi jumps out of the bin and the pair enjoy the festival.

Shammi, who has half a million Instagram followers, uploaded the video with the caption: ‘How to get in to a Festival for Free!’

Daily Mail Australia has contacted Splendour in the Grass and New South Wales Police for comment.
