Fans might be hesitant to believe this YouTuber romance and engagement is legitimate after another YouTuber recently got married to spark more views on his channel.
David Dobrik, 22, married his friend Jason Nash’s mom in Las Vegas in May on a whim for his YouTube channel. The ‘couple’ then filed for divorce one month later.
Paul and his brother, Logan Paul, became controversial figures in the YouTube community after they both had acting roles on shows for Disney Channel.
Logan, 24, caught an immense amount of backlash in 2017 for posting a video of a man who committed suicide in a Japanese forest nicknamed the ‘suicide forest’. He also experienced trouble for making statements like how he was ‘going gay’ for one month just to see what it is like.
His brother also follows a similar path of controversial posts and videos. He most recently came under fire when TMZ released a video of the YouTuber rapping while using the n-word multiple times.
Paul has previously stated in other videos that he loves to ‘troll the internet’, so the proposal could be another instance the YouTuber and Mongeau use the intrigue behind their shotgun relationship to garner more views for a new YouTube video.
