TV presenter Yumi Stynes has spoken candidly about her ‘long-time battle with booze’, three years after getting sober.  

Speaking with Who magazine on Thursday, the 43-year-old confessed that ‘one drink was never enough’ before detailing how sobriety has totally transformed her life. 

Yumi had previously told The Sydney Morning Herald, ‘I loved to drink. It was the medicine that got me through life’, but the outspoken star told Who she relied on alcohol too much, after having first tried liquor at the age of 15.

The mother-of-four has now been sober for more than two-and-a-half years, and it appears she’ll never go turn back to drinking. 

Yumi explained that sobriety has made things more manageable, saying: ‘It’s like you quit drinking and suddenly all this s**t opens up, wide open. All the things you couldn’t do or were too hard, that’s the s**t you can do now you’re sober’. 

The former TV star’s candid interview with Who comes a month after she went ‘undercover’ on Tinder to gain an understanding of what it’s like for single women on dating apps.

Despite being married for more than six years, Yumi went on the app as part of an expose she penned  for Marie Clare magazine. 

In her article, the popular personality revealed she received shocking messages from potential suitors. 

‘I felt disgusted and diminished,’ she penned.
