His hair was styled in a quiff that showed off his fading blonde locks and exposed his brunette roots.

But it was his mustache, similar to that of Ron Burgundy’s, that was his most striking feature for the evening.

The facial hair is likely being grown for his upcoming role as serial killer and rapist Ted Bundy in the soon-to-be filmed Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile.

In the film he stars as Phillip Carlyle, a playwright who becomes P.T. Barnum’s partner in developing the famous travelling Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus.

This comes after the genetically perfect actor admitted to Confidential that he has made his fair share of mistakes in life.

‘I have messed up in the past. I’ve done a lot of things that I look back on and go “sheesh, are you kidding, what were you thinking?”.

‘It is weird to say because I am also happy that I did all of those things because I am here before you today able to proclaim that this is me and I am very proud of who I am,’ he said.

Zac also gushed working on the film and alongside co-stars Zendaya and Hugh Jackman.

‘A lot of the messages in this film are things that we believe in and it is pretty rare you get an opportunity to portray characters that you really relate to and believe in and can spread a message that you care about,’ he added.
