It saw a flurry of retweets as thousands of people online rushed to question the decision.

The viral pictures do not currently appear on the Zara website, where they are currently pictured on actual models.

Taking to Twitter, one person wrote: ‘Cause they’re cheap and don’t want to pay for models’.

Another added: ‘Good to see The Invisible Man getting a bit of work’

A third replied: ‘Zara actually got good items but their website is so sh*** and WTF is this?

‘You are asking the wrong question! Not “why” but “how”? There is some weird voodoo magic keeping them jeans stood up!’ a fourth commented.

‘Wallace & Gromit vibes’ another said.

‘Why are these jeans giving me unwanted advice at the bar in Wetherspoons’ one Twitter user joke.

Last month, users mocked the retailer for being ‘impossible to shop at’ due to the bizarre ways there models pose online.

One fan, believed to be from the UK, took to Twitter to share a picture of a model wearing a coat back to front, before captioning the post: ‘It’s actually impossible to shop on Zara.’

And many took to the comments section to agree, with one even going so far as to say ‘they’ve gone too far.’

‘Looool seriously, it’s like they don’t want to make more money,’ commented one, while a second wrote: ‘For real you want to be knowing what the outfit will actually look like and you can never even tell by the photos they take.’

A third agreed: ‘The new layout, the style of modelling, the whole thing is just annoying now. Please, I just want a coat. What’s all this nonsense?’

In the initial screenshot, the model can be seen wearing the £119 ‘water-repellent down puffer coat with belt,’ back to front.

And the majority of people who took issue with the picture questioned the purpose of wearing the attire in such an unusual fashion.

‘What’s the purpose of a back to front coat? You are going to get cold and wet. Fashion has become very weird,’ commented one, while a second wrote: ‘I do not understand.’
