Zara’s newest clothes are given hilarious new names

A Zara shopper has become a viral sensation after she renamed pieces from the brand’s latest collection with hilariously literal titles.

Businesswoman Lucy Clemson from London tweeted pictures of the store’s latest clothes drop, but took it upon herself to give each item a comical new title.

So Zara’s Sweatshirt with Text became the ‘Meaningless Words Jumper’, while the Floral Print Bodysuit was re-branded as the ‘Cadbury’s Roses Knickers Suit’.

Lucy’s scathing critique of the collection has since gone viral, with over 7,000 Twitter users liking and retweeting the post.

Not so sweet: Lucy Clemson, a businesswoman from London, mocked Zara’s new clothes – including this patterned body suit, which she compared to a Roses chocolate wrapper

She took to Twitter on Monday evening to ‘rename’ the clothes, which have all recently been made available to online shoppers on Zara’s website.

She wrote: ‘I have decided to rename some of Zara’s latest collection.’

She renamed a £39.99 ‘contrasting texture jumper’ as ‘Roadkill Textured Jumper in ”A127 Badger Colourway’.

A ‘floral print bodysuit’ was dubbed the ‘Cadbury’s Roses Knickers Suit’ thanks to the print’s resemblance to the famous chocolate tin.

Brown high-waisted trousers were called ‘The Wrong Trousers’ – perhaps a nod to the arguably unflattering cut.

A slogan jumper emblazoned with the words ‘follow your karma’ was christened ‘Meaningless Words Jumper’.

An over-sized checked dress was dubbed the ’emperor’s new dress’ due to Lucy’s apparent distaste for the quirky outfit.

She later continued the fun by renaming even more clothes featured on the high street chain’s website, including a pair of red trousers that she called ‘argument with shoes trousers’, due to their dramatic crop.

Lucy called a pair of tweed suit trousers the ‘Magic Leg Shortening Trousers’, while a pair of pink fluffy heels became the ‘Muppet Show Shoes’  – which Lucy joked were made in Italy from ‘real Muppet’.

MailOnline has contacted Zara and is awaiting comment.

Twitter users loved Lucy’s witty posts, with one tweeting: ‘I think they should employ you. I’m loving your new names – they certainly add a certain something to their clothing.’

‘I LOVE THIS SO MUCH! Please do more,’ another posted. A third said: ‘Sooo good! More please – any other brands you fancy.’

‘This is absolutely brilliant,’ a fourth agreed.
