Former Paris Saint Germain favourite David Ginola says he believes winning the Champions League with the French club should be Zinedine Zidane’s next big challenge.
The one-time Newcastle and Spurs winger told El Pais that the club will have to sack Unai Emery if PSG crash out of Europe on Tuesday evening and that Zidane would be perfect to take over.
Ginola said: ‘Emery will have no excuses left. The Qatari owners will have given him all resources imaginable for him to succeed.
David Ginola wants Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane to take over at Paris Saint-Germain
‘They have signed Neymar and Mbappe, they have renovated the club’s training facilities; he [Emery] has a lot of people working with him.
‘If with all that he cannot achieve [success] then he will have to leave his position.’
And Ginola has no doubts as to who should be called in to land the big job in Paris despite Madrid’s poor form this season.
‘I think Zidane is the man to replace him. He is ideal for coaching PSG,’ he added.
‘Winning the Champions League with PSG should be his next objective. Then he will have time to move on to the French national team.’
