Zoe Saldana was joined by her husband writer and director Marco Perego-Saldana on The Drew Barrymore Show on Tuesday as she gushed over their marriage.
The 45-year-old actress said her husband is very amorous toward her.
‘It feels lovely, I have to say there were for many years when we first got married, it was hard for me to accept it,’ she said.
Zoe added, ‘There’s a part of us and women, you know, if our hearts have been broken before where we self-sabotage a lot and then one day you just wake up and you sort of go oh, maybe this is real.’
At one point, the 45-year-old director reassured his wife’s comfortability, leading to a sweet moment.
‘Maybe he really means to ask me if I’m comfortable. So I should just say thank you I am. And, the next step is asking him if he’s comfortable,’ she added.
The pair married in 2013.

When asked about his compassion for her, the Avatar star said, ‘It feels lovely’
She also said they like to swim nude.
‘When we’re in Europe and in the Caribbean, sometimes we forget our bathing suits and we just go for like a swim,’ The Guardians of the Galaxy star admitted.
They then revealed their code word for when it comes to initiating intimacy to ensure others don’t catch on.
‘Oh God… and he just found a way to, to call sexy time like playing Legos naked,’ the mother-of-three said.
‘So then the boys, at least, you know, our older ones caught on and they were like, “Are you guys kissing? Are you guys gonna go play naked with your Legos?” And we’re like, “No, we’re not going to do that,” she laughed.
Marco added, ‘We can try. We play Lego naked now.’
Their relationship is bonded by something even more permanent.
The couple has tattoos of each other’s face on different places of their bodies.
She shared, ‘Oh my God, his is better. I have, I have his on my torso but because Marco looks like the Catholic version of Jesus Christo, of Jesus Christ.
‘Everybody thinks like, you know, whenever I get undressed around people, they’re like, “Are you very religious?” I’m like, “No, why” it’s like, “Well because you have a portrait of Jesus” and I’m like, “No, that’s my husband.”‘

The couple is set to work alongside each other in their latest film Absence of Eden.

Zoe and Marco are set to work alongside each other in their latest film Absence Of Eden.
She will be acting in the movie while her beau takes on the directing role.
According to the film synopsis, ‘An ICE agent struggling with the moral dilemmas of border security and an undocumented woman fighting to escape a ruthless cartel cross paths.’
The film will be released on April 12, 2024.
