A 14-year-old boy is seriously injured after he was stabbed at his school in Bristol, where a teenager has been arrested.
The boy was stabbed at St Matthias Park academy where a male allegedly got into the school grounds before attacking the victim.
Police confirmed the injured boy is in a stable, non life-threatening condition in hospital.

A spokesperson for Avon and Somerset Police told Bristol Post: ‘We were called to reports of a confrontation between two teenagers at about 2pm yesterday afternoon.
‘A 14-year-old boy sustained serious injuries and was taken to hospital, where his condition is described as stable – not life threatening or life changing.
‘Police arrested a teenager last night in connection with the incident. He remains in police custody.’
The school is a referral unit for pupils who are not managing in their secondary schools.
St Matthias Park said in a statement that the suspect was not a pupil or connected to the school.
