Huge fight between shoppers erupts over a box of CHERRIES

  • Three men were involved in a nasty brawl after they had dispute over cherries 
  • Footage shows huge crowd watching the fight as other shoppers tried to stop it 
  • Fruit and vegetable displays were knocked before man, 30, was sent to hospital 

A huge fight erupted over a humble box of cherries in a Melbourne green grocer earlier this week. 

Footage shows three men throwing punches between aisles of fruit at the Thanh Thien Springvale Fresh Market on Friday. 

Screams can be heard during the video as shoppers attempted to break up the brawl.

During the violent scuffle, one of the men ended up shirtless as the other men appeared to grab whatever they could to use as weapons. 

Nearby fruit and vegetable displays went flying when they were knocked by the fighting men as a large crowd of shoppers watched.

The owner of the store told 7 News two men wanted to buy a bag of cherries by the bag and the dispute lead to one man allegedly punching a staff member. 

The 30-year-old worker involved in the fight was taken to hospital with head injuries.

Victoria Police told Daily Mail Australia a 34-year-old man and 28-year-old man were charged with a number of offences including ‘intentionally causing injury.’

The two men from Narre Warren were given bail and are expected to appear at Dandenong Magistrate’s Court on March 15.
