YouTube star Lilly Singh scores new late night show on NBC, replacing Carson Daly

Lilly Singh got her start as a Canadian YouTube personality, and by 2017 she ranked tenth on the Forbes list of the world’s highest paid YouTube stars, earning about $10.5 million.

Now the 30-year old comedian, who is also known as Superwoman, is set to join the late night arena with her very own show on NBC: A Little Late With Lilly Singh.

With the hire, Lilly will become the only woman to host a late night talk show on the Big 4 networks: ABC, NBC, CBS and Fox.

Big news: Lilly Singh announced she is getting her own late night show on NBC

Singh made the announcement on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Thursday.

What made it even more special: Seth Meyers, host of Late Night With Seth Meyers, also came out and surprised her on the set.

Afterwards, Singh took to her Instagram to gush about her NBC late night hosts and her dream come true job.

‘I I can’t even believe I am writing this caption. This is surreal,’ she began in the caption, which was followed by her joking about her ‘NEED TO SIT DOWN’ and a reminder for her to ‘breathe’.

‘I’m so grateful and overwhelmed to be joining this incredible family. I’m numb. I can’t even process. This has been SO long in the making and I’m so happy I can finally share this with you.’

She concluded with: ‘Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! And now… it’s time to work. It’s time to make magic. It’s time to hustle harder than ever before. Blessings.’

She ended with the hashtags: ‘#LillyOnFallon #TeamSuperAllDay’

A Little Late With Lilly Singh will make its debut in September and take over Carson Daly’s Last Call With Carson Daly slot on the network.
