A mother-of-three recounted in a heartbreaking video how her ex-husband burst into her home Wednesday morning, murdered their children and her boyfriend, before committing suicide – after she turned down his plea to rekindle their relationship.
Amanda Simpson, 29, recounted the terrifying murder-suicide in a Facebook Live video, as she continued to recover from a gunshot wound to her shoulder at the hospital.
The mourning mother says she even warned a judge that her ex-husband, 39-year-old Justin Painter, was ‘unstable’ when he tried to commit suicide last year.

‘I made it very clear to the judge that he was mentally unstable. And they didn’t listen. So now, I don’t have my babies,’ Simpson said in the video.
The night before the bloodbath, Simpson said that her ex-husband called her and asked to get back together, but she turned him down.
The next morning, around 8:30am, she says Painter stormed into her Ponder, Texas home and shot at her, their three children, and her new boyfriend, 29-year-old Seth Richardson, before turning the gun on himself.

Painter; his three kids Odin, Caydence and Drake; and Richardson were all pronounced dead at the scene. Simpson is the only survivor.
Both Painter and Richardson were found dead in a bedroom of the home.
Two dogs were also removed from the home and are now being cared for by a neighbor.
Authorities have not released the ages of the three kids, but Simpson wrote in an Instagram post that the oldest, Odin, is nine.
While Simpson’s physical wounds will heal, she will be forever haunted by the deaths of her children.

‘I’ve relived it over and over and every time I close my eyes, I see my babies… I see them dead. Every time I close my eyes, you don’t want to know what I see,’ she said in the video.
Records show that Simpson and Painter were married in 2012 and divorced in 2017.
Now Simpson is dealing with a potential surgery and burying her kids and boyfriend.
‘I have to start funeral arrangements and don’t know where to begin with that,’ Simpson said.
Friends have started a GoFundMe to help the grieving woman with that. So far, more than $1,300 has been raised.
