Multiple people have been injured after a shooting at a high school in Marlyand.
Several people were taken to the hospital after the shooting at Great Mills High school in Great Mills, Maryland. However, the local sheriff’s office says the shooting is now over and the situation ‘contained’.
A press conference is expected to take place some time this morning.
‘There has been a Shooting at Great Mills High School. The school is on lock down the event is contained, the Sheriff’s office is on the scene additional information to follow,’ the school district said in a statement just before 9am ET.
Parents are being asked not to come to the school. Instead, they can be reunited with their children at nearby Leonardtown High School.
