Dramatic video shows the moment sheriff’s deputies in Florida was struck by a vehicle while assisting his colleague at the scene of another crash.
Pasco County Sheriff’s Office Deputies Andrey Damian and Peter Knorr were responding to a minor crash involving three vehicles on Tuesday when another accident happened right in front of them.
A pickup truck could be seen turning into the path of another truck, causing them to collide into the vehicles involved in the first crash, striking the two deputies.

There didn’t appear to be any major injuries in the first crash, but a woman was stuck in her vehicle
Footage shows people from the first crash flying to the cement after a truck hit a nearby car.
And even after being hit, one of the deputies made sure another person involved in the crash received care.
The deputies and one other woman suffered minor injuries in the incident, and the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office still urged people to be careful on the roads.
‘This is an example of the dangers that our men and women face every day they put on the uniform,’ the sheriff’s office said in a statement on Facebook.
The statement continued: ‘However, after this impact seen in the video, one of our injured members continued to serve, making sure that another person involved in this crash received care.

Florida Highway Patrol said one person from the first crash received a right-of-way traffic violation, and a driver involved in the second crash received the same ticket

‘We urge you to slow down, especially on wet roads and near traffic crashes. We are thankful the injuries to our members were not serious. We are also thankful for our citizens who stepped in to help their fellow citizens.’
Damian was on his second day on the job when the crash occurred.
‘Our attention was on the female that was hurt from the first accident,’ he told NBC 8. ‘One thing both of us heard was a car horn from one of the trucks. As soon as I put my head up, I knew they weren’t going to make it.
‘Peter actually flew backward, I don’t know, six feet probably and the black car went towards me, towards my feet, but I was fine.’
