From the entry foyer, guests are greeted to a grand staircase with stained glass windows dotted along the walls.

Soaring ceilings, polished timber floors and concertina doors add to the majesty, while a private garden is the perfect setting for the most intimate and exclusive parties.

Looking from the rooftop, tenants can soak in a panoramic view of the sprawling district, city and harbour.

Potts Point has become a popular site for high-end downsizers and has attracted the likes of Kerry Packer’s daughter and billionaire Gretel and printing magnate Michael Hannan.

Rumours had long circulated of the recent purchase, but were only confirmed this week after a caveat was lodged on title in the name of Wyelba – a discretionary trust long associated with the MacLeods.

Under the same trust is the couple’s rural holdings, such as their $8.7 million Walcha property in northern NSW and $16.25 million Northern Rivers place in the same state.

Previous owners of the Potts Point property Roy and Anthony Medich had snagged the property for $12.5 million little more than a year ago.

McGrath’s William Manning is said to have negotiated the recent sale, though the rumour has yet to be confirmed.

There is no confirmation if the MacLeods intend to use the property as their Sydney base or a shared office space.

The purchase comes as the Macleods look to sell off their home on Queen Street, Woollahra for around $15million.
