‘We have confirmed that all students involved are friends and participated voluntarily in creating the picture, which they say was intended to be a ‘joke,” he said, according to AL.com.

‘The picture is offensive and unacceptable, and it does not reflect the values of our school, our students, or our community.’

According to one of the boy’s parents, the teens were trying to make fun of racist people when they posed for the photo.

Nick Fuller, the black teen featured in the seemingly racist photo, apologized for the role he played.

He stated: ‘I’m thinking about it now, but I didn’t think about it when we first took the photos. I’d still like to say sorry again for anyone I offended.’

The school had allowed students to dress up as if they were from New Orleans, Hollywood, Hawaii and Dallas.

The white boys in the photo represent ‘Dallas’ and are wearing boats along with flannels.
