St Kilda and Collingwood footy fans brawl at match at Etihad Stadium

Footage of a violent brawl between St Kilda and Collingwood fans in a bar at Etihad Stadium has emerged. 

The video shows fans throwing hard punches at each other, while others wrestled over broken glass and are slammed in the walls of the EJ Whitten Bar.

The fight is believed to have started over comments about the 2010 Grand Final, in which Collingwood beat St Kilda, and took place in the first half of the game on Saturday, the Herald Sun reported.

‘Get in there you fat ****,’ someone yelled.

‘Knock him out,’ another called out. 

The brawlers were left bleeding and had to be pulled apart by security guards.

The two security guards who responded to the call had to request additional security as the fight worsened.

Etihad Stadium released a statement saying security were positioned in the area and police were called immediately. 

‘Stadium security were positioned in the area and the Victoria police were called responding immediately.’
