It’s been billed as one of the most controversial seasons in the history of Aussie reality television.
And season five of Married At First Sight was certainly filled with all sorts of drama and scandal, from cheating spouses and partner swapping to a shocking ‘sexting’ bombshell that no one saw coming.

The most talked-about moment from the season was the affair between Dean Wells and Instagram model Davina Rankin.
The amorous pair both betrayed their respective spouses by meeting up for a secret coffee date.
However, their brief tryst came to an end when Dean decided that he was happier with his ‘wife’ Tracey Jewel, with the 39-year-old quickly kicking Davina to the curb.

The pub owner famously muttered ‘oh s**t’ under his breath when he saw his eager-beaver bride trotting towards the alter.
He later voted to ‘leave’ her during the very first commitment ceremony, resulting in the heartbroken blonde angrily calling him a ‘douchebag’ in front of the other couples.

But Tracey had some serious explaining to do on the show’s finale when Dean told Sean that she had been sending him ‘risque’ messages daily – including photos of her in her underwear.
The bombshell revelation was even more shocking because Tracey had lied to Sean and painted herself as entirely innocent by claiming that Dean was the one who was ‘sexting’ her.

But Telv’s less-than-perfect past was exposed outside of the show when photos of him snorting white powder from a stripper’s bottom were revealed in the media.
Things went from bad to worse for the father-of-two when leaked emails obtained by the Daily Mail Australia revealed that he had called Sarah a ‘crazy woman’ and that their relationship was strictly for publicity purposes.

Troy Delmege and Carly Bowyer both failed to find love with their assigned spouses.
However, the pair later fell in love with each other after meeting up outside of the experiment, with the twosome returning to the show’s final dinner party as a couple.
The loved-up duo made their romance known to everyone with a stomach-churning video of themselves canoodling in bed and making out in the kitchen – which left Troy’s ex-‘wife’ Ashley Irvin fuming.

The conversation later came back to haunt them after Patrick Miller snitched to ‘wife’ Charlene Perera, who was quick to lash out the men at the next dinner party.

Davina only admitted to a breast augmentation, while Sarah Roza was open about being a regular Botox user.

Nasser Sultan had also appeared on Pawn Stars Australia, where he lied about having a wife and kids in a scene that saw him trying to sell toy cars to save money for his children’s education.

In addition to stripping naked and ogling a woman’s breast implants, Ryan flashed Jackie herself and admitted that his usual dating style was ‘KFC and a root.’
