Ant McPartlin nearly pulls his mother into the river

He has been spending time with family since announcing his divorce from Lisa Armstrong.

Yet Ant McPartlin nearly left his mother Christine in the lurch as they visited the park with their dogs for a walk in London on Sunday.

The 42-year-old presenter found himself stuck in a ditch during the stroll and called on his mother to help him out, coming dangerously close to pulling her in.

Luckily, the crisis was averted, with the pair both managing to cross the river and carry on with their stroll as normal.

Ant seemed in good spirits on the outing, collecting sticks to throw for the pooches and chasing the dogs around the park.

His own dog Hurley was not on the walk with them, yet Ant will no doubt share custody of the pooch with Lisa, as she recently tweeted about her love for him, calling him her ‘baby.’

Much-loved television presenter, Ant, has just returned from a trip to Blackpool where he has been filming the Britain’s Got Talent auditions.

His estranged wife had been expected to have made an appearance.

However, the make-up artist has reportedly been moved off Britain’s Got Talent to avoid ‘awkward’ backstage encounters.

The former pop singer, 41, will allegedly work on show’s spin-off Britain’s Got More Talent instead, where she will be less likely to run into Ant amid their rumoured £31million divorce battle.

Sources claimed Lisa, who is Stephen Mulhern’s beauty assistant, is keen to ‘continue as normal’ and wants to keep things ‘civilised’ with her husband of 11 years

‘Lisa has worked on BGT for years and is keen to continue as normal. She has friends there and enjoys being part of the show,’ a source told The Sun.

‘She’s generally done Stephen’s make-up and helped other people but this year the plan is for her to work exclusively on the spin-off.’

The insider added: ‘They are all keen to keep things civilised with Ant. It should certainly mean less awkward encounters.’
