‘Under Queensland Road Rules, council parking officers are able to park in safe locations to undertake parking enforcement activities.

‘Each year council receives up to 18,000 requests to urgently respond to illegally parked vehicles.

‘Council has a comprehensive parking education and enforcement program to encourage motorists to abide by parking laws and put a stop to illegal parking that endangers other motorists, pedestrians and cyclists.’
