TV host Ryan Seacrest, 43, has revealed the grueling workout schedule he follows so he can ‘eat well and drink wine’.
Speaking to the New York Times, the ABC Live with Kelly and Ryan star who moved to New York from Los Angeles last year to take up the position, shared his daily routine which involves plenty of exercise.
Typically the broadcaster who also hosts a nationally-syndicated radio show and produced TV series including Keeping Up with the Kardashians and American Idol, rises at 6am every morning.

Defense: He also revealed that he loves to box and even brought a trainer with him while filming in the Bahamas so he could stick to his grueling routine and still eat the food he likes
He then has a matcha tea followed by a coffee and jumps on a spinning bike at home for his early morning workout.
‘Most recently I’ve been boxing with a boxing coach. If anybody ever jumps me, I’m ready,’ he shared.

‘I also use the Peloton bikes before I go to work. And I love to run. I don’t like treadmill. It’s always fun to run in the park,’ he said of some of his favorite exercises.
However, his day of exercise doesn’t end there.
While an early morning workout would suffice for many, Seacrest detailed that he also likes to work out during the day whenever he gets a free hour, and even brought a trainer with him to the Bahamas when he and Ripa were filming a Live! Show there.
When it comes to diet, Seacrest who is dating chef and former model Shayna Taylor, said he is ‘mostly vegan’ but admitted that because he is a massive foodie he needs to work out so he can eat what he wants.
‘During the week, it’s impossible, but Fridays and Saturdays, it’s fantastic to have a two-hour meal, family style, with a fantastic bottle of wine,’ he added.
Seacrest is also a fan of extreme detoxes and recently embarked on the iZO Superfood Cleanse.
A favorite of Gwyneth Paltrow, the cleanse which can be completed in three or seven day periods, involves mixing superfood powders which include algae, seaweed, seeds in juice or water.
The cleanse also features a herbal laxative, a herbal formula to rid the body of yeast and unwanted organisms, and a liver cleansing supplement.

And on the Goop website, Gwyneth shared she felt ‘high and amazing’ after completing the cleanse which claims it can help stimulate energy and metabolism, and improve hydration.
Speaking to Live co-host Kelly Ripa, who also tried the cleanse, Seacrest shared that he did it because it ‘cleanses your organs’ and left him feeling ‘great in the end’.
Overweight as a child, Seacrest revealed to Men’s Journal when he was 38 that he was ‘a chubby kid’ and remembers being teased because of his size.
‘I never want to feel that way again, and that motivates me to strive hard for balance without cutting anything that I truly enjoy, but while also knowing I can’t have it all the time,’ he explained.
‘As a kid, I would go home—my mom didn’t always know I was doing this—and I’d sneak in and make a plate of nachos on a cookie sheet. I’d lay the cheese on top with some jalapenos and crank the oven up to broil, just to get the cheese brown.
‘I did that on a regular basis. I definitely think that remembering how I felt back then drives me to stay fit as an adult.’
