King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia of Spain are known as some of Europe’s hardest working royals making frequent public appearances as part of their royal position.
What they aren’t known for is taking downtime, however, the royal couple enjoyed a rare evening out on Wednesday night.
The Spanish monarchs were pictured heading out for dinner in Mallorca having returned to the island following their visit to mainland Spain to visit victims of the Barcelona terror attacks.

The trip had clearly been a harrowing one for the couple who wore sombre expressions as they made their way to a local restaurant.
Doing away with their normally tailored looks Letizia, 44, and Felipe, 49, cut more casual figures this evening.
The mother-of-two opted for a black silk dress with floral detailing which she paired with chunky heeled sling-backs.
Meanwhile her husband looked dapper in a pristine pair of white chinos, a checked shirt, and a pair of tan loafers.

The couple cut their break short following the atrocity on the Las Ramblas boulevard in Barcelona on Thursday last week.
The pair flew to mainland Spain where they visited the Mar de Barcelona hospital and spoke to some of the 130 people who were injured in the attack.
The couple lead the country in mourning and King Felipe led a minute’s silence in the Placa Catalunya, close to the scene of the attack on Friday.

The royal family are thought to have returned to their their summer home of the Marivent Palace in Palma and will spend the remainder of their break there.
The royal family traditionally spend their lengthy holiday at the palace, their official summer residence, on the Balearic island.
The sumptuous grounds, home to Felipe’s Son Vent villa, are famed for their beautiful gardens and boast stunning sea views.
Although the Spanish royal’s summer holiday usually includes a number of official engagements, most of the time spent on the island is private.
In previous years, the Spanish royals have entertained VIP guests from around the world on the island, including the Prince of Wales and Princess Diana.
