MAFS star Alyssa Barmonde ditched her husband Duncan James to go for a solo shopping spree at Kmart as their marriage fell apart on the show.
The mother of one, 35, was spotted browsing through the colourful aisles of the children’s section, seemingly unfazed by the storm brewing in her relationship.
Photos taken by Daily Mail Australia on December 12 show the American executive assistant looking relaxed as she hunted for new toys for her three-year-old boy.
Alyssa cut a casual figure for the shopping trip in a white T-shirt and bike shorts, and swept her long blonde hair into a messy bun.
She appeared in good spirits as she picked out a handful of stuffed toys and a children’s baking set from Play-Doh, which was on sale.

An emotional Alyssa eventually broke into tears and stormed out of the room.
In a subsequent Instagram post, she revealed she’d suffered with anxiety for more than 20 years and had a panic attack in the moment.
‘I’m sharing this for everyone who can relate, for everyone who panics, who feels scared and sometimes very alone in their journey,’ she began.
‘Anxiety is something that’s part of me, but it’s not who I am. Living with an anxiety diagnosis for over 20 years is hard.
‘There’s a real stigma attached to talking about it openly. It’s something that most people suffer from in silence, feeling misunderstood and vulnerable.’
It comes after Alyssa (right, with husband Duncan James) revealed she suffered a panic attack before storming out of the commitment ceremony that aired on Sunday, March 12
‘When a panic attack comes on suddenly, your only thought is your need for survival. For me – I need to be alone so I can focus, get into fresh air, slow down, and breathe.’
She continued: ‘Having a panic attack on the couch is something that happened to me a few times. But this time I wasn’t strong enough to manage it head on. I took time. Stepped away. Calmed myself down. And returned to a hard conversation.’
‘I wish I felt better understood sometimes, or that I can explain how I feel a little better, but don’t we all? Sending all the love I can out there to anyone who is feeling vulnerable right now.’
Married At First Sight continues Wednesday at 7.30pm on Channel Nine
Alyssa explained she felt like Duncan wasn’t making her feel like she was a ‘priority’ during the couples’ retreat because he wouldn’t remain in contact with her throughout the day
