A clever home cook has sent foodies into a frenzy after sharing a very simple ‘bolognese loaded fries’ recipe as supermarkets continue to run low on pasta due to coronavirus stockpiling. 

The woman used three ingredients including bolognese sauce, hot chips and ‘pizza cheese’ to make the delicious meal.

‘Why have spaghetti when you can have bolognese loaded fries?’ She wrote on Facebook alongside a photo of her creation.

The woman placed her cooked hot chips into a baking tray before pouring the sauce on top.

She then covered the mix with pizza cheese and baked the meal in an oven until the cheese melted.

Many other Facebook users praised the woman for sharing her delicious recipe amid Australia’s pasta shortage.

‘Perfect for those who cannot get their hands on pasta,’ one person wrote. ‘My son would be in heaven! Chips and bolognese,’ another commented.

Supermarkets shelves across Australia have been stripped bare of various products as panic kicks in and shoppers start stock piling amid the coronavirus outbreak.

Toilet paper, hand sanitiser, pasta and canned foods are currently rare to come by as customers continue to hoard products across the country.

This comes as Australians fear extreme measures like in Italy where authorities have all but banned people from the streets and shut most businesses, will be introduced.
