Aaron Ramsdale’s HOWLER hands Bretford an equaliser against Arsenal at the Emirates, as the England international squanders chance to impress after coming in for the ineligible David Raya

Aaron Ramsdale dropped a huge howler to hand Brentford a first-half equaliser in their Premier League clash at the Emirates on Saturday night.

The England international, who was at the centre of fierce debate after being unseated by the incoming David Raya, started in place of the Spaniard, who was ineligible to face his parent club.

Mikel Arteta’s side took an early lead through Declan Rice and were in complete control before the incident at the end of the first period.

After receiving a pass from Gabriel, Ramsdale delayed his clearance, allowing Yoane Wissa to slide in and block the kick, which bounced back into his net.

Gunners players were quick to rally around the keeper after what could be a costly mistake. Arsenal have the chance to climb to the top of the Premier League table ahead of the meeting between Liverpool and Manchester City on Sunday.
