Abbie Chatfield shares sentimental gift from boyfriend in memory of their dog Marco

Their cocker spaniel, Marco, was sadly put to sleep last week. 

And Konrad Bień-Stephen is honouring Marco with a sweet and sentimental gift for girlfriend Abbie Chatfield. 

Abbie, 26, took to Instagram on Saturday to share snaps of the beautiful memorial gift which he gave her for her birthday.

Konrad organised a necklace to be created with his finger print on one side and Marco’s pad print on the other, to symbolise a pinky promise they had made. 

The 31-year-old had promised that after Marco passed he would take care of Abbie.

The former I’m A Celebrity contestant captioned her post with a heartwarming thank you message to Konrad. She said: ‘This is the best present I have ever received and means so much more after the last week without my little Prince.’ 

Abbie tried to make light of the subject by explaining that she need to think harder with future presents now for Konrad.  

‘This is annoying though because I now have to step my present game up because I literally got him a water bottle for his bday.’

Abbie didn’t hold back the tears when sharing the news to her 399,000 followers

After the news had settled for a moment, the influencer thanked her friends and fans for their love and support during the difficult time.

‘He fell asleep, it was very peaceful we went to Sash in North Ryde and they were lovely.’ 

After reading her caption, many followers showed their support by posting images of their dogs being fed chicken in honour of Marco. 

Abbie responded by saying ‘that’s so cute and it makes me very happy’.
