It’s a GIRL! Adam Thomas, 29, and his wife Caroline took to Instagram on Christmas Day to reveal the gender of their baby

The short clip shared to his social media followers saw Adam hold a giant balloon, while Caroline waited for the countdown to be done so she could pop in.

After the pink confetti fell – signalling they were giving their three-year-old son Teddy a baby sister – the room erupted with jovial screams and hugs.

Adam captioned the sweet clip: ‘What a xmas!! Couldn’t be more happier!!’

The pair are already parents to a son Teddy, three – and Adam recently admitted it would be ‘lovely’ to add a girl to their brood.

He told OK! last week: ‘I’m convinced we are having another boy so it will be quite overwhelming if I find out we are having a daughter. Being a dad to a girl would be a lovely experience.’

Despite their excitement, Caroline admitted to OK! magazine earlier this month that her second pregnancy had been far more traumatic than the first – and even saw her put on a drip in hospital, after suffering constant nausea and dramatic weight loss.

She explained: ‘I felt totally fine during my pregnancy with Teddy, but this time around I’ve been so sick.

‘At one point it got so bad that I ended up in hospital. I was unable to keep any food or liquid down so I had to be put on a drip.’

Admitting her illness was almost unbearable, she added: ‘I’ve never known anything like it, I was constantly being sick and I lost nearly a stone in weight.’

Adam and Caroline have been together for nine years, and tied the knot in the Cheshire countryside in September this year.

And the pair are convinced their unborn tot was conceived on their wedding night.

The TV hottie said: ‘We always wanted another baby but we weren’t planning for it to happen so soon after getting married. We conceived on our wedding night!’

Already thinking ahead, Adam – whose twin brother is Love Island 2016 star Scott Thomas and whose brother is Corrie veteran Ryan Thomas – added: ‘If it’s a boy, I like the name Paddington. Teddy likes the name too.’

However, Caroline admitted she’s not keen on proposed forename but insisted its difficult to find a moniker not associated with her students.

While Caroline admitted it would be nice for their son to have a brother and to experience the close bond Adam has with his siblings Scott and Ryan, the actor revealed he would ‘probably cry’ if he finds out they are having a girl.
