I’m A Celeb 2021: ‘Can we face away!’ Adam Woodyatt isn’t best pleased that Simon Gregson ‘farts like a trooper’ as they find out they’re sharing a bed

Adam Woodyatt and Simon Gregson were thrown into the deep end as they entered I’m A Celebrity on Thursday night and had to tackle the snake infested Castle Scare Fair trial in front of their campmates.

But they were also faced with the prospect of sharing a bed, something EastEnders star Adam, 53, wasn’t best pleased with when he learned that Corrie actor Simon, 47, ‘farts like a trooper.’

After the soap stars scored an impressive 11 out of 12 stars for the camp, the clan returned on cloud nine, while noticing some differences: portraits of Adam and Simon framed on the wall, their thrones around the fire, as well as a bed for them to share.

Giggling in the Bush Telegraph, the pair laughed as Adam said: ‘When we’re in that bed, can we face away?’

Simon replied: ‘I think that’s a good idea. Mind you, you probably won’t want me to.’

Adam retorted: ‘You fart don’t you! Uh!’ to which Simon laughed: ‘Like a trooper!’

Adam then quipped: ‘Can we have single beds, please?’

The new arrivals in camp come as one of the series biggest star’s Richard Madeley, 65, was forced to leave the competition after he was rushed to hospital- hours after completing his trial on Wednesday’s episode.

Kicking off the show by announcing Richard’s departure, Ant McPartlin said: ‘It’s been a day of drama in the castle one has gone and two have arrived.

‘You probably heard the sad news already. Richard Madeley has left the castle. Richard was taken ill in the early hours of the morning and was taken to hospital. Due to Covid reasons he was unable to rejoin the group.

‘He’s gutted, we’re gutted and we’ll have an interview with him on tomorrow night’s show.’

And it was certainly a dramatic show on Thursday as Naughty Boy, 36, locked horns with Frankie Bridge, 32, after he took umbrage with her labelling Main Camp ‘our camp’ when talking to the DJ, who had come from The Clink.

During the episode, viewers watched as Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly introduced Coronation Street’s Simon (Steve McDonald) and former EastEnders star Adam, 53, (Ian Beale) to the campmates as they arrived at the Castle Scare Fair trial.

Dec explained: ‘There are two very important people here tonight and I’m not talking about me and Ant. Please welcome your new campmates, the new Lords of the Castle – Simon and Adam.’
