Al Pacino still rocks his Shrek phone case that he went viral for two years ago… while heading to meetings in Los Angeles

Two years after sending fans into a frenzy with a photo of his Shrek phone case that went viral, Al Pacino proved he’s still sporting it.

The 83-year-old actor was spotted arriving for a film meeting in Los Angeles, as he was spotted holding his phone which still had the Shrek phone case.

The outing comes nearly two years after he first went viral for a photo Jason Momoa posted on Instagram in April 2022 of a dinner he shared with Pacino and others.

The actor was spotted out wearing a slightly-unbuttoned black dress shirt under a black coat for the outing.

He also wore silver-framed sunglasses as he exited a vehicle while holding his phone with white earbuds still plugged in.

The actor completed his look with black pants and black shoes for the Monday afternoon outing.

Back in April 2022, Pacino was part of a dinner group with Jason Momoa who posed for a photo that the Aquaman star posted on Instagram.

Pacino left his phone on the table for the snap, with many fans flabbergasted that the acting legend would have a phone case with numerous images of Shrek.

Twitter users had a meltdown after the revelation saying, ‘you can’t make this up’ as they insisted the cartoon character made the A-lister even more relatable.

‘Pacino with the Shrek phone case is simply legendary,’ one wrote. Others explained ‘that’s why he’s my idol’ and ‘he’s the perfect man to exist.’

A few days later, Pacino was joined by his Heat co-star Robert De Niro and director Michael Mann on The Today Show to speak about the legendary 1995 action film, when his phone case was brought up during the interview.

‘My daughter gave me that. My youngest daughter put that on my phone,’ Pacino said, referring to his 23-year-old daughter Olivia.

‘I didn’t even look at it until social media told me what was on my phone. And I took a look and said, “Oh, that’s Shrek,”” Pacino added.

When asked why he still had the case, the Godfather star replied, ‘Of course, it was a gift.’

The actor will next be seen on the big screen in Billy Knight, where he plays the title character.

The story follows fillmmakers Alex (Charlie Heaton) and Emily (Diana Silvers), as they delve through Alex’s late father’s belongings.

These belongings include a box filled with unfinished screenplays and a handkerchief with the name Billy Knight, which sends them on a quest to track down the title character.
