Alan Carr was in an excitable mood as he watched his good friend Adele perform at the BST Hyde Park Festival in London on Saturday.

The singer, 34, who took to the stage for her second public concert since she headlined two Wembley shows in 2017, wore a glamorous black off-the-shoulder gown with a pleated skirt and sequinned detail as she sung in front of a 65,000-strong crowd.

Funnyman Alan, 46, posed up a storm as he watched from a private area above the audience and to the side of the stage.

The comedian wore a blue and white striped shirt with different coloured patches with a variety of designs.

He opted for a pair of beige trousers and wore a pair of open-toed black sandals.

Former chat show host Alan shielded his eyes behind a pair of dark sunglasses as he performed.

Alan and Adele first became friends when they met at the Brit Awards in 2008.

When Alan got married to his estranged party planner husband Paul Drayton in 2018, Adele got ordained so she could officiate their wedding.  

Adele wore a glamorous black off-the-shoulder gown with a pleated skirt and sequinned detail for her gig on Saturday.

The Hello hitmaker’s bejewelled ensemble glistened under the bright stage lights, with her outfit cinched in at the waist.

She wore a the Danseurs silver hoop earrings with crystals hanging in the centre from Messika’s High Jewellery collection and opted for a make-up palette of gold and bronze hues.  

Adele performed her first track, Hello, to the mammoth audience as well as tracks from her latest record 30, including I Drink Wine.

She also performed some of her more classic hits such as Rolling In The Deep and Someone Like You.

It marked the second public show Adele has played since she headlined two Wembley concerts in 2017. She postponed her Las Vegas residency in January.

On Friday, the star held back tears as she addressed the audience and told them she was ‘f**king s****ing herself’ after performing her first song.

She shouted ‘I’m so happy to be back’ as she looked out across the mammoth crowd.
