The 26-year-old responded to a fan’s comment on a recent photo of herself and new girlfriend Maegan Luxa.

Addressing a question from one of her fans on an Instagram post uploaded on Wednesday, the blonde beauty said that things just didn’t work out for the pair
‘Richie is a great person,’ Alex wrote. ‘He’ll still get his ever after. We both hoped for things to work, but life just is.’
She continued: ‘Sometimes things in life simply don’t work out for us. You cherish the nice memories and you move forward.’
The comment was featured on an Instagram post in which Alex wrote about her current relationship with Maegan.

The mother-of-one declared: ‘When it comes to love, my friends and family would tell you that my heart isn’t one to discriminate.
‘I very much fall for a person and the connection that I share with them. My heart is a wild thing, it craves extraordinary adventure.
‘It’s impulsive, sometimes a little dysfunctional but it’s big and loud and I follow it to the nth degree. What a wonderful adventure it is with her.’

Maegan, 31, and Alex first met playing for the Frankston Bombers women’s football team in February.
A ‘friend’ of Alex’s previously told New Idea magazine the couple were inseparable and had been spending most nights together.
Alex and Richie fell in love on The Bachelor last year – but like many relationships from the TV dating franchise, it did not last.
It has been reported they quietly split in February, but chose not announce the breakup publicly.
