Amazon is accused of ‘promoting pedophilia’ for selling ‘Daddy’s Little S**t’ clothes

Amazon has come under fire for selling a children’s T-shirt with ‘Daddy’s Little Sl*t’ printed on the front, and while the controversial top has since been removed, the site is still offering other clothing items for babies and toddlers featuring the disturbing phrase.

The product, which was sold by the third-party retailer Onlybabycare, had been available on the website since June 2019 and was on sale for $18 before it was taken down, The Independent first reported.

A link to the shirt that was shared on social media now leads to an error page, but there other third-party retailers such as EASON-G and LINGMEI that are selling similar T-shirts, onesies, and baby beanies.

Journalist Yashar Ali drew attention to the horrific clothing item by sharing a screenshot of the Onlybabycare children’s shirt on Twitter on Thursday.

‘1. Available for sale on @amazon: “Daddy’s Little Sl*t” t-shirt…for children Posting here in hopes it’ll expedite removal from Amazon,’ he wrote.

The product description claimed the top was ‘suitable’ for various occasions, including baby showers, birthday parties, baptisms, weddings, and baby photography.’

People were understandably outraged and quick to share their disgust with Amazon for offering such an item on its website.

‘What in the fresh hell is this? Take me off this planet. Willing to carpool,’ actress Isidora Goreshter tweeted.

CBS News correspondent Diane King Hall was among the many people who demanded that the shirt be removed.

‘You’ve got to be kidding me! @amazon take this shirt down now!’ she wrote.

Another person griped: ‘Humanity was a mistake, Example #3,415,621.’

Taking a stand: Several Twitter users revealed that they had filed complaints with Amazon

‘Can we send CPS round to check on the parents who bought them?’ someone else asked.

‘Amazon makes it very hard to contact them, but I just wrote through chat. Said it sexualized children and promoted pedophilia,’ one woman commented.

Many people responded with screenshots of the complaints they sent to Amazon, and the product was eventually removed.

Ali later shared a screenshot of the error page, writing: ‘2. It’s been taken down.’

The win was short-lived, however, as other Twitter users pointed out in the comments that the phrase is still featured on various children’s clothing items from numerous third-party retailers on the site.

One woman shared a photo collage of kids’ items featuring the phrase, writing: ‘Sadly they think that a baby onesie is also appropriate. There is a pleathera [sic] of options. I wish I could unsee this.’

In addition to its ‘Daddy’s Little Sl*t’ T-shirts for boys and girls, LINGMEI is also offering a youth top that has ‘Spank me, Daddy’ printed across the front.

‘This seems like an auto-generated product,’ one Twitter user deduced. ‘People write scripts that pull common phrases and create product listings for them. The shirts get printed when someone orders one. Guessing this seller’s program picked up on “Daddy’s Little…” and thought it was appropriate for kids.’

A spokesperson for Amazon told DailyMail.com that the original T-shirt had been removed from the website, adding: ‘All sellers must follow our selling guidelines and those who do not will be subject to action including potential removal of their account.’
