The first five finalists for America’s Got Talent Season 14 were named during Wednesday night’s results show, which featured performances from some beloved AGT alums.
Former NFL star and magician Jon Dorenbos showed off some new tricks while ventriloquist and Season 12 AGT winner Darcie Lynn Farmer returned to perform, alongside Season 12 runner-up Preacher Lawson.
Youth was served during the results show, with 22 year old Kodi Lee, 14 year old Benicio Bryant and 11 year old Tyler Butler Figueroa voted into the finals by America’s votes, with the Light Balance Kids getting the Dunkin Save and Ndlovu Youth Choir getting the final slot, as voted by the judges.

The show opened with a recap of last night’s performances, including some behind-the-scenes shots after the acts went off stage.
There were a few candid shots of the judges as well, including Julianne Hough being jokingly confronted by her husband after getting kind of hot and bothered while watching the Messoudi Brothers perform.
One of last night’s performances was from Greg Morton, who showcased several uncanny impressions of animated characters, including judge Howie Mandell’s character Bobby from Bobby’s World, as Howie was seen doing the voice himself.

Judge Gabrielle Union was also seen wiping tears away after the autistic pianist/singer Kodi Lee performed, with Simon coming up and hugging him.
After the lengthy video package, host Terry Crews took to the stage, bringing all 11 of the semi-final acts, revealing only five will move on to the finals.
Crews revealed that Light Balance Kids, Ndlovu Youth Choir and blues musician Robert Finley are all in danger of elimination, with fans tasked with voting for which act should get the Dunkin Save, though voting was only open for 30 minutes.

Union, who pressed the Golden Buzzer for the singer, said, ‘Kodi, you are going to the finals for doing exactly what you were born to do, and that is be exactly who you are.’
‘We’ve only seen the tip of the iceberg of your talent. You’ve got this, kid. You’ve got this,’ Union added.

Preacher then performed some stand-up for the AGT crowd, before there was a video package with another AGT favorite, magician Jon Dorenbos.
With NFL’s opening night game between the Green Bay Packers and Chicago Bears happening on NBC tomorrow, Dorenbos went to the Los Angeles Rams training camp to perform some magic.

Jon was doing tricks for LA Rams players, including a trick where three players picked a card that featured a different NFL team, which just so happened to be the Packers and the Bears.
The third player had a blank card without a team, as Dorenbos pulled off the impressive feat of making the entire barstool disappear.

The singing is even more amazing since Darcie Lynne was belting out the powerful tune literally without moving her mouth, singing ‘through’ her doll Petunia.
Darcie also recalled how it felt for her to be on this stage during the semi-finals, stating, ‘It felt like I was gonna puke every time!’
Voting closed on the Dunkin Save, with singer Benicio Bryant, magician Eric Chien and singer Ansley Burns stepping forward next.

Union picks Ndlovu, and Hough did as well, though she praised Robert Finley’s performance last night.
‘Robert, i didn’t speak last night but I wanted to be with a bottle of wine with my love on the grass last night,’ she said.
‘Ndlovu Youth Choir, you represent global inclusion and freedom of love and celebration of joy, and I’m gonna have to go with Ndlovu Youth Choir,’ Hough said.

Next week, the remaining 11 semi-finalists will perform on Tuesday, September 10 in a two-hour episode, with the one-hour results show airing Wednesday, September 11.
The live AGT finals will air Tuesday, September 17, with the live results show on Wednesday, September 18.
