Andrew Garfield shows off his chiseled abs and surfs at the beach while vacationing in Mexico with a mystery woman in a bikini

Andrew Garfield did his best to catch some waves on a surfing trip in Mexico on Monday.

The Spider-Man: No Way Home star was seen on a beach in Puerto Vallarta while spending some time with an unknown woman.

The 39-year-old actor valiantly hopped on his board, but he appeared to give up early due to less-than-ideal wave conditions.

Beach day: Andrew Garfield, 39, enjoyed a day at the beach in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, on Monday with a mystery woman in a bikini

Andrew was scene walking on the beach while revealing his chiseled abs.

He covered up with a large white towel that was draped over his shoulders, and he wore a set of red swim trunks and black sunglasses.

He carried his own wood-grain board, while another man walking with the group carried a baby blue board over his head.

A woman in an animal-print bikini with a black skirt tied around her waist walked alongside the other man, and she carried her shoes and a mesh bag full of her belongings.

While out in the surf, Andrew added a long-sleeve navy blue shirt to cut down on his sun exposure and add some warmth.

He also kept the piercing light out of his eyes with a black baseball cap, and he wore a short beard.

Although he managed to surf for a while, the Social Network actor appeared to give up early.

Andrew appears to have been taking some time for himself in recent weeks. Last month he set fans into a frenzy after an image of him shirtless while vacationing in Bali was shared on social media.

Prior to that, he had been vacationing in Italy.

He seems to have some downtime after finishing his most recent project’s, last year’s Spider-Man sequel, which saw him joining forces with fellow Spider-Men Tom Holland and Tobey Maguire, and his acclaimed FX crime series Under The Banner Of Heaven, which details a murder investigation related to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and Utah’s Mormon communities.

Andrew’s future projects seem somewhat up in the air.

Earlier this month, the Call Me By Your Name director Luca Guadagnino revealed to Deadline that his proposed 10-episode limited series adaptation of Brideshead Revisited had been shelved due to cost, though he was still hoping to revive it and keep the all-star cast together.

Andrew was set to appear in the series with Cate Blanchett, Rooney Mara and Ralph Fiennes.

In July, Deadline revealed that the actor’s next project would be the limited series Hot Air, based on the life of Richard Branson, with Garfield playing the billionaire.
