Andy Cohen shares the frustration of traveling with unhappy toddler in videos from holiday car trip

Andy Cohen marked the end of his vacation with some frustrating, but funny, details about his car trip to and from his family getaway.

The Real Housewives franchise creator’s son Ben, three, is a vocal but unseen star in a couple of videos detailing the intricacies of traveling with a preschooler and an infant.

In the clips shared on Instagram, the reality show producer, 54, who is a single father to Ben and daughter Lucy, three months, does his best to speak rationally to the very distraught toddler. 

In the video labeled ‘My vacation in a nutshell,’ young Ben can be heard wailing in the back seat, while Andy says, ‘I don’t understand dude, you want to get off the car?’

‘Yeeees,’ answered the boy.  His dad offers a variety of remedies including ‘We could swim? We could look at a Busy Town book. I just got you a new book.’ 

Five minutes after the meltdown, the thoughtful dad asks the little boy, ‘If you had to guess, why would you say you were just crying so hard?’

‘Cause I wanted you to park,’ the sniffling child answers. When Dad contends he did park but Ben didn’t want to get out, the young one quips back, ‘I wanted to get out.’

The Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen host sighed and then said, ‘Well, I’m glad we worked through that. Feel better?’

‘Yeah!’ his son replied.

 The trip home was much the same. 

The video labeled End of Vacation begins with a crying child and his frustrated father saying ‘Ben, you just watched Bob the Builder for six hours while I packed the car up. You can’t watch to watch more.’  

‘I do,’ he wailed. The tv producer briefly growls at the camera while the tyke screams ‘I want to go back!’ 

Dad life:  The busy talk show host and producer occasionally shares cute shots of his children detailing some of the adorable and exasperating details of their day to day lives 

Three minutes later it’s much quieter in the vehicle and Andy asks ‘Ben do you feel better now?’ 

‘Um, no,’ he replies, ‘I still have a cold.’

‘You still have a cold,’ the flustered dad repeats, then asks, ‘But you’re not upset anymore about leaving? You’re OK? You got it out of your system?’

‘I was just kidding,’ Ben says. ‘Wow, that was some joke, my man,’ countered the exasperated parent.
