Anna Faris’s relationship with now estranged husband Chris Pratt was something she anticipated even before she divorced her first spouse, the actress has revealed in her new biography.
Her tell-all, Unqualified, which will be released later this month, comes after the couple recently announced their shocking split after eight years of marriage.
The book seems to predate their impending divorce but includes a post-split foreword written by Pratt.
In a six-page prologue, he gushes over his wife calling her an ‘important part of my life and she always will be’ and calls the memoir, ‘a face-first dive into the mind and person that I spent one amazing decade with.’
Faris has dedicated the book to him and also includes the father of her child in her acknowledgements thanking him for being ‘the best person I know.’
The 40-year-old star lifts the lid on how she met Pratt, admitting she ‘desperately’ wanted to ‘f**k’ him while she was still married to co-star Ben Indra.
Faris tied the knot with Indra in 2004, but three years later realized neither of them ‘were happy in the relationship’ which in hindsight had ‘many red flags,’ she writes.
Anna Faris, 40, describes the moment she left her first husband Ben Indra (left) and then began dating her co-star Chris Pratt in her new autobiography, Unqualified. Faris and Indra were married from 2004 to 2007
It was during this time that she was filming Take Me Home Tonight, in which she starred alongside Pratt and Topher Grace.
Pratt, 38, played Faris’s character’s boyfriend and the two developed a close friendship over the course of filming. She discloses how the Guardians of the Galaxy star would walk her to her door and even tracked down her credit card once when she had lost it.
But despite his acts of kindness, Pratt, Faris says, was not trying to sleep with her and was having his own fun hooking up with ‘background actresses’ at the time. She admits it caused her to become ‘incredibly’ jealous of the women he was involved with.
And while her break-up with her husband was looming, she reveals it was Topher Grace who made her question her crumbling marriage.
During Indra’s visit to the film set one day, he joined the cast on a night out.
‘I ended up going home early, but everyone else – including Ben – went to a club, and he came crawling home from his wild night out at about 7am.
‘I don’t know what exactly went down, but the next evening I was talking with [Topher], who played my brother in the film,’ she writes.
‘”Anna, what the f**k are you doing with that guy?” he asked me.’

Faris and Pratt (pictured during the Take Me Home Tonight premiere in 2011) began dating shortly after she ended her marriage with Indra. She reveals co-star Topher Grace (pictured left) made her question her relationship with her ex-husband and Dan Fogler (pictured left) pushed her to make the call
The two married in 2009 in Bali after eloping after a friend’s wedding, and had son Jack, three years later. (Pictured in April honoring Chris Pratt with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame)
Faris describes the moment as ‘such a wonderful cold splash of water in the face,’ and after hanging out with her co-stars at Pratt’s apartment one night, she says she ‘couldn’t deny that something was happening between us.’
The Scary Movie star then confided in her friend Dan Fogler the following day and told him she was ready to end her marriage.
‘Dan also told me that if I was going to leave my husband, I had to be a surgeon with a scalpel about it. Do it immediately and effectively, he said.’
Faris then picked up the phone and told her husband she would be divorcing him, which she says made her feel like a ‘villain.’
‘But even on the phone I had to repeat myself a number of times before he took me at my word. “You’re just tired; you’re really tired,” he responded at first.
‘I just said: “Nope, I’m leaving you.” And that was that,’ she writes.
She added that she then ‘went to set and was like, “Hey, everybody! I just left my husband.” Pretty soon I was knocking on Chris’s door and was basically like, “Hi, I’m ready to get boned.”‘
Faris and Pratt began dating shortly after and she described getting together as ‘hot and heavy in a way that I’d never experienced before.’
Although her split with Indra was inevitable, Faris says it was ‘extremely important’ to her not to sleep with anyone while they were still together.
To this day, the actress admits she has complicated feelings about it and does not consider herself ‘completely innocent’ even though she says she did not cheat on Indra with Pratt.
The actress also revealed her decision to get breast implants was sparked after she starred in the film The House Bunny in which she had to wear ‘heavily, heavily, heavily, padded bras’
Before and after: Anna also admitted to getting lip injections in her top lip, a procedure she now calls a mistake saying it was ‘definitely not the right choice’ for her. (Pictured left in 2000, and right, with lip injections at the premiere of The House Bunny)
‘Sure, I get to proclaim I didn’t f**k Chris before I left Ben, but what is there to celebrate in that? It didn’t make me a hero.
‘After all, I wanted to. Desperately. And I had feelings for him obviously even if I wasn’t honest with myself about what those were,’ she confesses.
The two married in 2009 in Bali after eloping after a friend’s wedding, and had their first child three years later. Their son Jack was born two months premature in August 2012 but the new parents were not able to take him home from the hospital until a month later. In an interview with PEOPLE, Pratt has said that his son’s birth ‘restored’ his faith in God.
Faris also got candid in her book about going under the knife and revealed she had breast augmentation and lip injections around the time she was shooting The House Bunny.
Faris’s new autobiography – named after her podcast – includes a foreword by now estranged husband Chris Pratt
She cites her face, particularly her lips, her breasts, her weight, and hands as her biggest insecurities.
‘Around the time I was filming The House Bunny, I started getting lip injections in my upper lip. I did it for a little bit and I noticed a small difference, but no one else ever said anything. I kept wondering if anybody else even noticed,’ she writes.
It wasn’t until her friends pointed out that her lips were beginning to look too big, that she began to ‘wean’ herself off the injections.
She describes the decision as a mistake and ‘definitely not the right choice’ for her, but does not regret getting a boob job.
She says her desire to get cosmetic surgery was sparked by her role in the movie.
Faris, who had an A cup size, was required to play a sexy Playboy bunny in the film and had to wear a ‘heavily, heavily, heavily padded bra.’
With Pratt’s support, she made the decision to get implants at age 30.
‘I’d recently ended my first marriage and I was clearly going through a year of revolutionary change – independence and a boob job!’
