Arizona mom, 30, is charged with murder for ‘running over girl she accused of bullying daughter, 10, with her truck after grabbing another ‘tormentor’s’ hair with her own children were inside vehicle’

An Arizona mother has been charged with attempted murder after she allegedly drove towards kids in a park and ran over a girl who she accused of bullying her daughter at school.

Brandie Gotch, 30, allegedly drove her white Chevy Silverado, with her four kids inside, speeding towards 15 children standing in the playground area of WestGreen Park in Peoria after an altercation on Tuesday.

She ran over a girl’s ankle before going back into the parking lot and fleeing the scene on 87th Avenue, according to court documents.

Prior to the disturbing attack, she also pulled a 14-year-old boy’s hair while yelling, ‘I am going to kill you and run you over,’ and wielding a sharp stick that she got from her truck, as reported by AZ family.

The mother of four was taken into custody at her home later that day and booked into jail on one count of attempted first-degree murder.

Other charges stemmed from the disturbing incident include six counts of endangerment, four counts of aggravated assault, two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Her bond was set at $250,000.

During an interview with detectives, Gotch said her children were bullied at school by the group of juveniles, but nothing was done after she reported it to the school and law enforcement officers.

The bullying continued at the neighborhood park, Gotch claimed, as she witnessed the group throwing wood chips at three of her kids, and one of them punched her 10-year-old daughter.

She said the group called her a ‘fat b***h’ when she confronted them. A video captures her grabbing a 14-year-old boy by the hair and chasing after him with a sharp stick.

She admitted to retrieving a stick from the vehicle but asserted that she never threatened them.

Gotch reportedly told police that a second boy followed her to her truck and started ‘dancing’ behind him.

She yelled at the boy to move, and the confrontation escalated as she went back to her truck.

‘Brandie was then seen going back to her vehicle, which was now occupied by her four children, and aggressively backed her vehicle towards the exit,’ the probable cause statement reads.

‘But instead of exiting she drove forward, at a high rate of speed, towards the playground area where at least 15 juveniles were standing.’

She allegedly ran over a girl’s ankle, causing injuries including lacerations and swelling, before speeding away from the scene.

According to court documents, Gotch initially didn’t believe she had run over the girl, but later told police, ‘I hope I didn’t.’

Gotch’s children reported told investigators that ‘they were unrestrained and were bouncing all over the vehicle,’ although the mother thought they had seatbelts on.

Part of the incident was caught on a cellphone camera and police were able to track her down to her home and arrested her.

‘This is still an active investigation with numerous interviews and witnesses statements still being processed,’ Officer Zach Lekan of the Peoria Police Department told KTAR News 92.3 FM Thursday.

None of the underage involved in the incident have been identified.
