Marcia Hines has taken to social media to share a heartfelt post expressing her gratitude to health care workers after her shock collapse on Sunday night.

The Australian Idol judge, 70, was rushed to hospital after she collapsed on the set of the reality series and injured her head in the fall.

Hines’s Instagram post reassured fans she was on the mend after the terrifying incident, which she says was caused by her diabetes.

‘There’s no place like home. What an action-packed week. I’ve experienced so much care and love at Blacktown Hospital,’ she began.

‘I’m so grateful to all of the hospital staff. From the tireless nurses to the wonderful administration staff.’

‘Stay well Marcia, you’re such a treasure!’ one fan gushed and a second person added: ‘Glad to hear you are feeling much better.’

It comes after Hines collapsed in her dressing room ahead of part one of the Australian Idol final on Sunday night.

Following the incident, Hines shared a post to her Instagram page and revealed she was planning to return to Monday night’s final show, which she did.

‘I’m very sorry that I’m not there with you all tonight. It’s been a big few days of work and I was feeling a little unwell. I’m resting up now so I can be back with you all tomorrow night,’ she wrote.

A source told Daily Mail Australia that Hines stayed in hospital overnight for observation and was released the following morning.

She did not appear on Australian Idol on Sunday and Guy Sebastian filled in for her as a judge.

Host Ricki-Lee Coulter told viewers that Hines would be absent at the start of Sunday’s episode.
