Australian parent’s outrage at teacher’s aide’s letter

A woman’s rant about ‘scabby parents who shop at Kmart and feed their kids home brand food’ has backfired as hundreds of angry mums and dads air their disapproval.

The Australian woman, who has no children, began the controversial post with ‘Parenting 101… mothers who shop at Kmart or Big W or even worse Reject Shop or salvos disgust me and don’t deserve children’.

The woman claims to work alongside children as a teacher’s aide and didn’t appear to hold back in her rant.

A woman claiming to be a teacher’s aide has hit out at ‘feral’ parents who dress their children in budget clothes – but it has backfired

‘Pathetic mummies sending their feral mutts to school with no name Kmart shoes and 2nd hand uniforms and even worse home brand food.

‘It’s putrid and scabby and if you can’t afford brand named food or clothing you’re a failure of as a parent and should never of had children in the first place.

‘Yes good parents and teachers and school staff notice and talk about how scabby parents like this are.

‘When I have a child it will only have the best of everything because I will love and care for my child unlike you feral scabby excuses for parents,’ she wrote.

The woman deleted the post as well as her Facebook account following the backlash – but somebody managed to take a screenshot of the original post which continues to raise eyebrows.

‘She is probably in debt, dressing her little darlings in designer labels. While my poor deprived Kmart and Target dressed kid gets to go on overseas trips every year. My poor child,’ one mother said – before realising the original poster did not have children of her own.

One dad admitted to shopping at Kmart and said his daughter ‘is never hungry and always has clothes’  and ‘has high morals, respect and manners’.

‘Let’s get real here and by all means no offence to teacher’s aids but you are hardly raking in the big bucks so unless you are going to rope in some old dude..I suggest you shut your pie hole.’

‘The school should be ashamed of themselves laughing at children and parents behind their backs.

‘You should be ashamed of yourself,’ said another mother.

‘You should not be around children,’ another woman wrote.

Even her colleagues were commenting on her rant with disapproval.

‘Well darling I am a teacher of 27 years and the best people I work with are those amazing, empathetic, intelligent, loyal, beautiful underpaid teacher’s aids and you girl ain’t one of them. I feel ill reading your selfish, ugly rant, if I was your principal I would sack ya.’
