Pet Insurance Australia spokesperson Nadia Crighton says it’s important to consider how a name ‘carries’ when you call it out, before bestowing it on your pet (stock image)

Ms Crighton said it’s important to consider whether the name ‘carries well’ when you call it out.

She said two-syllable names work best for pets because they are easiest for them to hear.
