Ben Shephard left The One Show hosts blushing as he made a very racy confession about his student days.
The Good Morning Britain star, 47, joined fellow guest Shirley Ballas on Wednesday’s the BBC show, where it was soon revealed that Ben has a secret degree in Contemporary Dance.
But presenters Alex Jones and Jermaine Jenas were left in shock as Ben went into detail his studies, cheekily stating: ‘My degree in contemporary dance was very much about running around, physical theatre, getting naked, covering yourself in soy sauce’.
Hot under the collar: Ben Shephard left The One Show hosts blushing as he made a very racy confession about his student days
As he and Shirley were interviewed on the show, Alex remarked: ‘Queen of Latin dance here, but also, King of the dance.’
To which a baffled Ben replied: ‘King? King of the dance? Which dance are you talking about?’
Alex then said: ‘Apparently you have a background in dance’, with Jermaine probing about a possible Strictly Come Dancing stint as he added: ‘You’re sat next to Shirley, a Strictly question. Are we going to see you on it at some point?’
But while an excited Shirley was quick to jump in exclaiming: ‘Yes!’, Ben explained that the degree he did may not make him the right candidate to take a spin on the Strictly dancefloor.

He then raised eyebrows as he described the extent of his studies, explaining: ‘My degree in contemporary dance was very much about running around, physical theatre, getting naked, covering yourself in soy sauce. That sort of stuff.
A stunned Jermaine replied: ‘What?!’ ben went on: ‘I know JJ, it was a great three years. Me and 16 girls in leotards and tights.
‘You can see why I enjoyed it!
‘So it was that rather than having any hips that move in anyway that is vaguely Latin.’
Revealing all: While an excited Shirley wanted him for Strictly, Ben explained that the degree he did may not make him the right candidate to take a spin on the Strictly dancefloor
Ooh I say! ‘My degree in contemporary dance was very much about running around, physical theatre, getting naked, covering yourself in soy sauce. That sort of stuff’
However, Shirley was having none of his excuses as she told him: ‘Well if you’re running around with that sauce all over you then I think that’ll go down rather well for the audience.’
It was then revealed that Shirley would be later putting Ben through his paces, but as he protested, she insisted: ‘I’m very excited to dance with someone who’s got a degree!’
Despite everyone’s agreements that he should do Strictly, Ben has previously told how he hasn’t signed up because ‘my wife didn’t want me to have an affair’

Speaking on Good Morning Britain in 2018, Ben, who is married to Annie Perks, joked that he thought affairs were ‘part of the deal’ of being on the BBC programme.
The so-called ‘Strictly Curse’ has been a much talked about element of the competition in recent years, as many celebrities who have taken part have ended their marriages and relationships after stints on the programme.
During the light-hearted exchange Kate Garraway told Ben that she didn’t fall victim to the Curse when she was taking part in the show – but joked that it was only because ‘nobody asked’.

Ben, who has sons Jack, 17, and Sam, 15, with Annie, was asked why he’d never done Strictly when the show was hosting an interview Sean Walsh, who is taking part this year.
He said: ‘Essentially my wife didn’t want me to have an affair.’
The comment made Susanna Reid – who appeared on the show in 2013 – burst into laughter, saying: ‘You don’t have to have an affair on Strictly!’
‘What? I thought that was part of the deal,’ Ben said.
