Bliss n Eso rapper Esoterik leaves The Project hosts screaming in horror as he shows off his shocking thumb injury

Bliss n Eso’s Esoterik has shared his very disturbing ‘party trick’ after a serious injury to his hand left his thumb hypermobile.

Appearing on The Sunday Project, the rapper, whose real name is Max Donald Mackinnon, was asked how wild the Australian hop hop group’s fans get.

The 42-year-old lifted his hand and pulled his thumb back so far it almost appeared detached.

‘I did a crowd surf once, I injured my hand. This is what my thumb does now,’ he explained casually.

The gory display left the panel of hosts screaming and audience members gasping ‘Oh my god!’ in shock.

‘It was double jointed. That’s one of my first rap names. I was going to be Double Jointed. But I got past it,’ he joked.

His bandmate Bliss, real name Jonathan Notley, chimed in: ‘He also jumped off a balcony after a gig one time, broke his arm.

‘We had to play a St Kilda gig the next day. That was on the Flying Colours tour as well.’

Sydney-based hip hop trio Bliss n Eso have released seven studio albums including three number one debuts on the ARIA Charts.
